It’s been just a few weeks since Apple launched iOS 9. This most up-to-date mobile operating system has amazing features to offer you which make it stand out of the crowd of other mobile OSes. Just like it happens with previous launches of mobile OS, there were many rumors before the real announcement of mobile OS took place. You might have made a virtual image of possible features in iOS 9 based on those rumors. So, the question here is, has the actually announced features met your wishlist? Is there any demerit of the mobile OS as per you? If yes, then do check out this post about weak points in iOS9.
Large Catches of Data
With Apple iPhone devices, there is always a problem with storage stuff. Different memory versions of iPhone cost different price. Due to budget problem, most like to opt for low version of Apple iPhone. Fortunately, Apple has made the upgrade quite small in size so that it’s not any problem to get on to Apple iPhone devices. But, what’s most unfortunate is that apps still keep large catch of data. This results in consuming the memory. It would have been great if Apple had brought a way for the users to delete the cache without deleting apps whatsoever.
Notifications Require Improvement
Notifications have got an issue with them. They are quite good, but still, a big portion of users is just not pleased with it. The notifications related to different apps are sent separately. This is something that causes a big annoying problem to users. To understand the issue it results, just imagine there are 20 Gmail notifications followed by notifications related to Facebook. You need to go through all 20 notifications first, then only you can go through FB notifications.
Extensions are Still Bad
Apple pleased all users by bringing ‘Extension’ feature in iOS 9. The feature is just amazing, and has its place in feature-set of iOS 9 as well. But, the problem is still there; yes, they are still hard to discover. This issue in iOS 8 was so big, was complained by a great multitude of people, but unfortunately, Apple has remained deaf on it.
Third-Party Keyboards’ Support Require Improvement
MacStories covered this issue when it first came to light. Here’s what was written about this by the blog.
“Custom keyboards can’t access Siri dictation, they can’t show the popup menu to switch to another keyboard with tap & hold, and they can’t implement the system auto-correct dictionary,” he explained. “With a proper set of permissions and performance considerations, I’m hoping all this will be enabled in iOS 9.”
Again, unfortunately, the problem is here in iOS 9 as well.
Apart from them, there are few minor weak points in iOS 9. Apple is known to deliver best. It’s surprising fact that Apple did not come up with any solution to the aforementioned issues in iOS 9. Hope Apple will overcome with iOS 10.
